Q. How do I log in to my Slenky account?
A. To log into your account, simply click the icon in the top right corner of your screen (It’s next to the magnifying glass) - This should take you to the login page where you’ll be able to enter your Username and Password.

Q, I didn't receive a confirmation code or email to verify my account?

A. If you can’t find any of our confirmation emails, check your Spam or Junk mail box. Sometimes our emails get sent to the wrong place and end up in there. If it still doesn’t turn up, try typing “Slenky” in your mail “Search bar”. If that still doesn’t do the trick, try signing up again - make sure you enter your details correctly so that anything we send out goes to the right address or phone number.

Q. How do I logout of Slenky?

A. Same as with logging in, if you want to logout and stop receiving updates and notifications for a while, just click on the icon in the top right of the screen next to the magnifying glass. Click ‘logout’ and you’re done.

Q. I think my account was hacked or someone is using it without my permission?

A. If you think your account has been hacked and someone else is using your account without your permission, head down

Your account may have been hacked if you notice:

If any of these are the case head to the bottom of the page and click on the ‘Help’ button. Click on the ‘Report an issue’ button and follow the instructions on the the page.

Q. I don't know if I still have a Slenky account. How can I find out?

A. Once you set up an account it will always be there unless you decide to delete it. You should receive an email from us confirming that you’ve successfully set-up your account when you first sign up. The best way to make sure you’re account is still active from then on, is to fill in your Password and Username and login.

Q. How do I remove saved login information from my browser?

Managing Your Password

Q. How do I change my password?

A. If you forget your Password or just want to change it,

  1. Click the in the top right corner of the page
  2. Click on Forgot Password
  3. Enter your email address into the space provided
  4. Check your email account for details on what steps you need to follow next.

Q. What is the minimum password strength and how can I make my password strong?

A. When you create a new password, make sure that it's at least 6 characters long. Try to use a complex combination of numbers, letters and punctuation marks.

The password you create should be easy for you to remember but hard for someone else to figure out. For extra security, your password should be different from the passwords you use to log into other accounts, like your email or bank account.

Account/Shot Preferences

Q. How do I change my Shot preferences or stop certain types of Shots coming up in my results?

A. When you click on Shots, a filter will appear. You can adjust this to change the types of Shots that come up in your search results.

Otherwise, we do a lot of the work for you - If you click on the ‘Shots near me’ button on the Homepage, you’ll be taken to a page that displays a list of Shots around you that are currently available. (You can also adjust the maximum distance from you that you would like to see Shots from?) -

Q. How can I tell friends about certain Shots I see?

A. When you click into the details of Shots you’ll find a few social media links on the page - Click any of the links to share them on the relevant platforms.

Q. What are Hubs?

A. Hubs are spaces that are created especially for individual groups or organisations. They are private places where groups or organisations can post Shots and content that is only relevant to them. Think of it as having your own Slenky Home Page that only shows the Shots you are providing and the things that your business is doing.

Q. What are Regions?

A. Regions are like Hubs, but bigger. They are spaces dedicated to cities. They allow cities to display all the Shots that are being posted by organisations and businesses in that area in one place. So it makes it easier for you to search and find out what opportunities there are available in different locations.

Q. What happens after I apply for a Shot?

A. After you apply you will receive an email confirming that your application was completed and with details of what to expect next. Your details and application will be sent through to the Shot provider where it will be processed according to the information detailed on the Shot page or in your confirmation email.

Q. How many Shots can I apply for?

A. You can apply for as many Shots as you like. Obviously we recommend that (be sure you can commit to them, think about them -is the shot really right or you?, check details carefully


Q. Who can see Shots I apply for?

A. Whilst anyone with a Slenky account will be able to see all of the Shots that are available, only you, us and the organisation providing the Shots that you apply for will be able to see that you have applied for a specific Shot.\
