Experience tells us that it’s often local people who know what’s best for improving the area they live and work in - that's why One Flow One Brent is looking for young leaders to join our Steering Group.

As a Steering Group member, you’ll promote the mission and vision of the programme - and help tackle instances of violence in the local community - by helping shape our programme activities and communications. You'll also get involved in local decision making and support the recruitment of other young people..

So why should you become a One Flow One Brent Steering Group Member?
As a Steering Group member, you’ll  have the opportunity to get your ideas heard and to champion the needs of your local area on a borough-wide scale, whilst getting paid...  *(£9.50 per hour - in case you were wondering).

We'll also provide all members with training and workshops, to help you develop Project Management and Community Mapping skills, and more.

You'll also:
- Develop and improve valuable skills that will boost your CV and prospects.
- Get the chance to work on meaningful projects with other young people from your local area.
- Receive induction and skills training, as well as 1-2-1 support
- Get to network within the wider community with key stakeholders and partner organisations.

What and who are we looking for?
This is a development role for young people, so we don't have minimum educational or work experience requirements, but we are looking for people who:

- Are aged 16 -25
- Live on either Chalkhill, Stonebridge or Church End Estate
- Can meet the attendance requirements (at least 4 hours a month, up to a maximum of 10 hours per month.)
