One Dynamic Act – #ODA (Video)

Tuesday 30th April 2019 , Wembley Stadium, UK.

One Dynamic Act – #ODA

Sponsored by Brent Council, the Football Association, Delaware North Companies and Eclipse, the evening was a special screening of the archived 1979 BBC Documentary, ‘The Way We Live Now – Race’, followed by a panel discussion and Q&A with ‘young’ people from the original documentary and emerging young talent from around the UK.

#ODA provided an unfiltered snapshot of UK race relations and access to opportunity in 1979, examining the experiences of Black and Asian minorities.  A very diverse audience including the Mayor and Chief Executive of Brent Council, His Excellency Seth George Ramocan (High Commissioner for Jamaica), public and private sector executives and diversity practitioners joined members of the community to discuss the themes of aspiration and opportunity, downloading Slenky’s Augmented Reality (AR) app for additional experiential content.

A hard-hitting and unapologetic programme facilitating a unique, frank and eye-opening panel discussion with original subjects from the documentary and young people discussing what has, or hasn’t, changed for working-class young people in the 40 years since the programme.
